Placentrex Gel is usually applied topically 3 to 4 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and the length of treatment as it will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy. Prior to applying the gel, clean and dry your hands and the affected area with water and mild soap thoroughly. Spread a thin layer of the medication on the affected areas and gently massage it in. Wash your hands immediately after applying the medication.
Placentrex Gel is a fairly new treatment and may cause unknown side effects. Known side effects include: Stinging, burning or irritation at application site Difficulty breathing Swelling Rash or hives Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or worsen. Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives. Placentrex Gel is not always suitable for all patients.
